Area of Interests:
Many students come to my first science recitation with preconceived notions that science is difficult and uninteresting. My job is to transform those ideas – to make sure that not only do they learn about the scientific process, but also that the process of discovery is an enjoyable one. I strive to maintain a casual atmosphere in the classroom that leads to openness and a willingness to ask questions. It is my ultimate satisfaction that at the end of the semester students have come to appreciate science as a discipline rich in history, unpredictable wonders, and relevant to our lives.
