I am majoring in Asian/Pacific/American
Studies and pursuing a Pre-Health track. Recently, I participated in
the LS Global Cultures Colloquium, an annual program organized by the
faculty, where I presented a paper on East Asian Eastern Cultures. Through
that, I was privileged to be able to work closely with one of my
professors. I really encourage students to get to know their
professors. I've also performed as a singer and dancer in the Tisch
All-School choir Drama Cantorum, and as a dancer in the Hong Kong
Student Association's variety show. This past summer, I organized and
helped choreograph a hip hop dance piece for a show in Philadelphia, my
hometown. I've always loved singing, but it wasn't until I got to NYU
that I realized I
really like dance as well. I've also served as a Peer Educator on the
Peer Health Awareness Team and am fortunate enough to have worked as an
8th & 9th grade tutor for America Reads. I am now a Resident
Assistant in a freshman residence hall, which I immensely enjoy. My
advice is to use your time at NYU wisely by taking advantage of all the
great opportunities it offers.
