I come from the Long Island suburbs, but the move to New York City was still a major one for me. The past two years at LS have been memorable both in the knowledge I obtained in the small LS classes and the friends I've made who come from not only from all over the USA but from all over the world.
My major is Computer Science, but I have been able to cultivate my interest in music at NYU. One of my original songs was selected for the annual CD of music created by NYU students and produced by Gallatone. For the first time ever, I attended an opera at The Metropolitan Opera House as part of my LS Cultural Foundations course. Even the streets of New York City provided a unique experience for me, as I was approached by an agent and hired to model clothes and walk one of the designer runways during New York City Fashion Week. While modeling is not my future calling, it was a lot of fun. This summer I am headed to Florence, Italy to spend six weeks at NYU's Villa La Pietra campus to learn Italian. For me, New York City and NYU has been a world of new experiences!
