Liberal Studies Honors
LS Dean’s Circle
The LS Dean’s Circle is the sophomore honor society. The Dean’s Circle participates in the various activities of the University’s Scholars Programs. At the end of the freshman year, students who have completed the year with a GPA of 3.65 or better are invited to apply. Membership selection is based on scholarship, leadership, and community service. As members, students receive an award from the University to participate in cultural events in New York and travel abroad together. In recent semesters, the Dean’s Circle attended plays, concerts, and special faculty lectures and traveled to the Czech Republic, Germany, England, Spain, Turkey, Cuba, and Brazil.
Dean’s List
Each semester, LS students with a GPA of 3.6 or better are formally recognized on the Dean’s List. Dean’s List status is noted each semester on the NYU transcript.
